Citizenship Information Session / Sesión de Información Para Ciudadanía

US flag with sun and sky backgroundAre you interested in becoming a citizen of the United States? Join us for a two-hour bilingual presentation on how to apply for citizenship. Attendees will learn about the naturalization eligibility requirements, the naturalization process and test, and the rights and responsibilities of U.S. Citizenship.

¿Está interesado en convertirse en ciudadano de los Estados Unidos? Únase a nosotros para una presentación bilingüe sobre cómo solicitar la ciudadanía. Free Citizenship Class

In partnership with the Asian Americans Advancing Justice, Los Angeles,  the Library is offering free U.S. citizenship classes. Students must have had their Green Card for two years to be eligible for the class (unless married to a U.S. citizen).The classes are taught in English and Chinese.

Citizenship Class

Join us for this bilingual (Englilsh and Mandarin) 12-week series of classes to help you prepare for the Citizenship exam.

This is a 100 Civics/N-400 interview-focused class with basic English & pronunciation techniques to assist you in getting prepared for the Citizenship exam. 

Registration is required. Please contact the Information desk to register

This is a free program for adults. Once registered, you will be able to participate in this exciting new 12-week class. The class will begin on Apr. 10, 2018 and will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am-12pm.

Citizenship Class

Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAAJ) provides a 100 Civics/N-400 interview-focused class, with basic English and pronunciation. 

You must have had a green card for at least two years. AAAJ will help you file the N-400 Application for Naturalization for free. Please call for details. 

The registration period is the first two weeks (4/10-4/19) & you must bring your green card to register. If you missed the registration period, you will be wait-listed for the next cycle (July). For those who missed but have already applied for the citizenship interview, you can enroll at any time.

This is a 8-week course presented by the International Rescue Committee. Learn the English, Civics, and History that you need to pass the U. S. Citizenship test. Plus, the course will give you an opportunity to acquire important financial literacy
skills.

In partnership with SAHARA, the Norwalk Library is hosting a Citizenship Clinic.

Participants will receive assistance filling out the N-400 Application for Naturalization, legal review, study materials, and a fee waiver application.

Pre-registration is required. Please call the library to sign up and receive a list of documents to bring to the workshop.
