Lynnée Denise is a professional DJ with over 20 years of experience, both as an educator and an international DJ instructor. She has worked as a DJ on three continents, spun in over 10 countries and performed or lectured about DJ culture in at least 50 cities.
She has attended multiple conferences and participated on many panel discussions that center music history and professional DJing as a respectable profession and a place of rigorous study. She’s coined the phrase “DJ Scholarship,” a pedagogical style that engages an interdisciplinary approach to connecting history, technological skills, and business skills to the art-form. Inherent to DJ culture is research and a commitment to understanding the background of the culture and the social conditions that define the era from when it was born.
