Welcome to the Department of Public Social Services Skill Building Program. This training program is provided by The County of Los Angeles Public Library Adult and Digital Services Department.
In a continued effort to foster an environment that encourages our employees to realize their full potential, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Public Library, the following curriculum has been designed to support personal and professional development for DPSS staff.
Use your DPSS email account when registering for classes. All classes are free with a County of Los Angeles Public Library Card.

Taught by accomplished teachers and recognized industry experts, lynda.com is a high-quality resource for anyone looking to learn new skills in a wide range of subjects.
Gale Courses: Offers a wide range of free online classes, led by expert instructors that you can take entirely online. New sessions begin every month and run for six weeks. You can take as many classes as you like.
LearningExpress Library:LearningExpress Library offers students and adults unlimited, 24/7 access to targeted skill–building interactive courses in math, reading, writing and much, much more.
Universal Class has nearly 500 online classes taught by real instructors. A diverse range of subjects including computers, business, home & garden, health, technology and many more. You may start a class at any time.
